Grayson Taylor is an author and filmmaker from New York City. After writing his first full-length novel when he was seven, he authored dozens of action-adventure, sci-fi, mystery, and dystopian novels and short stories. He is the recipient of a 2021 Scholastic Gold Key for Novel Writing and a 2023 Gold Key for Filmmaking. He has written and directed several films, including the award-winning Last Words.


As a professional actor, he has performed in principal roles on Broad City; Blue Bloods; Billions; numerous commercials, voiceovers, and short films; Mothers and Sons on Broadway starring Tyne Daly; and the Radio City Spring Spectacular, and has had multiple appearances on The Colbert Report and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Grayson shares writing and publishing tips and gives a look behind the scenes on YouTube. He also runs his independent publishing company, Winter Forest Press.

MY WRITING

I’ve written 8 novels and 4 novellas, in genres including fantasy, horror, action-adventure, and historical fiction. My current favorite genres to write are sci-fi, mystery, and dystopian.

Catalyst of Control, my ninth novel, is a dark sci-fi epic coming in 2024.
